Jennifer Conklin, DNP, AG-ACNP, is an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner who cares for older adults. She provides patient-centered care with a focus on improving outcomes and well-being.
“I have seen older adults lose their autonomy due to a variety of factors, including physical and cognitive decline, ageism, and loss of social support,” she says. “Addressing these factors is crucial for promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life in older adults.”
Conklin was born in Charlottesville and raised in nearby Orange County. She received an undergraduate degree in psychology from Longwood University and an undergraduate nursing degree from Shenandoah University. She earned a master of nursing and a doctor of nursing practice from the University of Virginia. Her clinical experience includes roles caring for patients of all ages in medical, surgical, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Conklin lives in Charlottesville with her husband and two children.
