Bio & Overview

Jennifer Herdman, FNP, MSN, RN, is a nurse practitioner board-certified in family medicine. She received her master’s degree from University of Virginia in 2013. She has a special interest in preventive health, diabetes and women’s health.

Herdman became interested in family medicine because she enjoys caring for and forming relationships with patients of all ages. Her goal is to partner with her patients to help them take responsibility for their own health and wellness to bring about positive outcomes.

Herdman also volunteers as a member of the Powell Wellness Medical Advisory Committee. She lives in Culpeper with her two children and enjoys exercising, travel, gardening and spending time with family.

Jennifer Herdman has been my provider for many years. She always listens to my concerns and questions and answers/ explains all my questions. I really like her friendly, caring approach to me as her patient. She also refers me to other services/ providers for treatment I need, like physical therapy for example. I hope she never leaves the practice!

Jen is the absolute best! I've been seeing her for almost 13 years now, and I can honestly say she is one of the most compassionate and thorough providers I've ever had. She always takes the time to truly listen to my concerns, never makes me feel rushed, and consistently checks in on my overall well-being, not just the issue I came in for. Her care goes beyond the surface, and you can tell she genuinely wants the best for her patients!
