Dr. J. Andrew Legan, MD, is an associate professor of psychiatry.
Dr. Legan completed his undergraduate degree at James Madison University. He earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Then, he completed his psychiatry residency and an addiction medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Legan leads the addiction medicine consult service. He is also involved in community outreach and sees patients at the Haven, a day shelter.
His research interests include:
