Kristin L Long, AGACNP

Kristin Long, DNP, AG-ACNP-BC, CCRN is an adult gerontology acute care practitioner. She provides advanced care for elderly patients, focusing on complex monitoring, treatment planning, and prevention of complications.

She grew up in a military family and moved frequently, which she says developed several of her strengths — adaptability, resiliency, resourcefulness, and social and cultural awareness.

While in high school in Virginia, she discovered a passion for health sciences and volunteered at a local hospital. Kristin attended nursing school at Liberty University. She earned a master of science in nursing degree with an adult-gerontology acute care specialty and a doctor of nursing practice degree at the UVA School of Nursing.

She previously worked as a beside nurse the medical intensive care unit at UVA.
