Bio & Overview

Leah Kroeger, MD, is a Northern Virginia-based neurologist with UVA Health. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University (formerly Medical College of Virginia).

“I knew I always wanted to help people and wanted a job where I could interact with a variety of people,” Kroeger explains.

She completed her internship and residency at the University of Illinois. She received fellowship training in neurophysiology at Georgetown University.

Kroeger shares that she views her “relationship with my patients and the family as a team effort.” “I like to work together finding the correct workup and treatment plan,” she says. “I hope patients realize how much I enjoy working as a neurologist, and that I realize what a privilege it is.”

Something seemed off with my provider. I felt the visit was rushed. Not like previous visits. Are providers being timed? It did not feel good.

I've been seeing Dr. Kroeger for many years but the last few visits I have not felt the same care and understanding that I have had for years. I feel very judged and that's she is more worried about covering herself more than helping me with my medical situations.

I feel like a lot of my concerns are brushed off but I get it since she's a specialist and would rather me talk to my pcp when it comes to more "trivial" concerns.
