Bio & Overview
As an anesthesiologist, Lisa Igbani, MD, is passionate about obstetrics care, pain management, and supporting diversity in medicine.
Born and raised in Charlottesville, Dr. Igbani received a bachelor’s degree from UVA. She earned her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (formally the Medical College of Virginia) and completed her internship and residency and anesthesiology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Igbani enjoys serving as a mentor to future doctors. In this role, she focuses on diversity, female empowerment, and minority representation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programs.
Outside of work, Dr. Igbani enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and cooking.
