Meredith Lee, DO, was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where she received her B.S. in Biology. She then move to San Diego, CA, working as a clinical research associate at Quintiles, Inc. After a few years of working in clinical research, she pursued her dream of becoming a physician and graduated from the Edward Via Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. She then completed her residency training in psychiatry and fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where she still works today.

Dr. Lee spends the majority of her time practicing geriatric psychiatry. In this role, she supervises and trains resident physicians, as well as provides psychiatric care to residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Central Virginia. Areas of interest include improving quality of life for patients living in long-term care facilities, especially those living with dementia or chronic mental illness.

Dr. Lee is involved with the Psychiatric Society of Virginia and currently serves on its board of directors. In her free time she enjoys spending time sampling the culinary offerings around Charlottesville or catching a live performance at one of the many music venues in the area.
