Bio & Overview
Megan Bray, MD, provides a broad range of obstetric and gynecological care for all stages, from adolescence to menopause and beyond. Her specialties include the surgical treatment of large uterine fibroids.
Dr. Bray completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University and earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical School Philadelphia. She completed her residency and internship in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia.
She currently is the associate dean for curriculum in the UVA School of Medicine and has held several other educational leadership positions. Dr. Bray has received numerous teaching awards in her career, most recently the 2023 Excellence in Teaching Award from the Jefferson Scholars Foundation recognizing her years of services educating students and colleagues. She is a university president appointee to the UVA Medical School Foundation Board of Trustees.
Dr. Bray is a faculty fellow of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and a general ob/gyn oral examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Previously, she was a maternity care section editor for the New England Journal of Medicine Knowledge+.
