Highlights
Meet Pediatric Neurologist Ryan Cappa, MD
My name is Ryan Cappa, and I'm a neurologist here at The University of Virginia. Here at UVA, I am a board-certified Pediatric Neurologist with specialty training in pediatric neuro-muscle conditions. Neurology is very interesting and it's an exciting time because it's becoming more and more treatable as we make amazing advances in treatments. And that definitely led me specifically into the subspecialty of neuro-muscle medicine. I think being able to bond with families and work with them and just work towards that common goal together is by and large, one of the most enjoyable aspects of my day to day. People should come to UVA because of how unified and comprehensive the care is here. Many places might have a lot of the tools necessary to provide amazing and well-rounded care, but here, everything is really cohesive. It's all here at the institution in an environment that's just caring and about the patient.
