Bio & Overview
Racheal M. Smetana, PsyD, ABPP-CN is an assistant professor and clinical neuropsychologist in the neuropsychology assessment clinic. She cares for adult patients with epilepsy, the spectrum of traumatic brain injury, and other medical and neurological disorders. She also cares for adolescents and young adults who have sustained sport-related concussions.
Dr. Smetana received her doctoral degree from Adler University. She completed an internship in clinical psychology with Allegheny General Hospital and a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at UVA. She joined UVA as a faculty member in 2022.
In her free time, Dr. Smetana enjoys running marathons, scuba diving, and spending time with her dog.
