Tara H Prieur, MD

A board-certified pediatrician, Tara Prieur, MD, has been caring for children for more than 20 years. She is committed to building strong relationships with her patients and their families, staying up to date on the latest treatment recommendations and encouraging the use of technology to improve her practice.

Prieur was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. After graduating from the University of Virginia, she moved to Norfolk to attend Eastern Virginia Medical School. Prieur stayed in Norfolk to complete her internship and residency training in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters.

Excited to be back in the Harrisonburg area, Prieur enjoys going on adventures with her four children and attending their sporting events. She’s very active and loves to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, running, skiing and snowboarding. Prieur strives to push herself in every aspect of her life to keep herself physically and mentally challenged. She completed her first Iron Man in 2017.
