Bio & Overview

Tracy Borsinger, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements, including the direct anterior approach hip replacement and robotic surgery.

Her research interests include improving long-term patient outcomes after hip and knee arthroplasty and the prevention and management of joint infections.

Dr. Borsinger was born in New Jersey and attended Middlebury College, where she played basketball and was an Academic All-American.

She received her medical degree from Georgetown University and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Dartmouth College. She also completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

“I was surrounded by orthopedic injuries growing up playing sports and I was able to see the impact being an orthopedic surgeon could have on patients,” she says. “I take time to understand how hip or knee pain is affecting each patient’s life and clearly explain all treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical. When surgery is appropriate, I focus on precise, evidence-based techniques and individualized care to help patients safely return to the activities that matter most to them.”

Surgeon was very realistic and candid telling me that "most of my patients hate me for two months after knee replacement." The PT is very grueling.
