Theresa O Guyton, AGACNP

Theresa Guyton, MSN, AG-ACNP, is an inpatient cardiology provider. Her clinical interests include the management of care for advanced heart failure patients, including left ventricular assist device (LVAD) and heart transplant populations.

She assists with advanced heart failure therapies evaluations and works in collaboration with the advanced heart failure cardiologists and advanced heart failure team.

Guyton grew up in Farmville and has lived in Virginia her entire life. She received her adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner degree from the University of Virginia.  

“I approach working with patients from a person-centered care model, where empathy and caring are central components to building trust and helping advocate for patients and improved outcomes,” she says.

Outside of work, she loves watching UVA baseball with her family and spending time outdoors.
