Abril Reck, RN, MSN, FNP-C, DACM, LAc., Dipl. OM, is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) and a licensed acupuncturist. She provides care throughout her patients’ lifespan and aims to provide a unique integrative approach to wellness. Her research interests include gut-brain health and trauma.
Abril earned multiple degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and a second master’s degree from Frontier School of Nursing. She is one of the nation’s truly integrative medicine NPs after having completed a 4-year master’s program and a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Abril is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and completed a year-long training to become an ADAPT Certified Practitioner, who uses a holistic approach to help patients combat chronic diseases.
Abril does volunteer outreach with Acupuncturists Without Borders. She loves nature, reading, gardening and spending time with her husband, son, and their rescue English bulldog.
