I was born in Massachusetts and grew up about one hour outside of Boston. I attended Tufts University for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I then attended the University of California, San Francisco for my registered nursing degree and the Medical University of South Carolina for my master’s degree in nursing.
My MSN specialty is in pediatric primary care. I also hold bachelor’s degrees in child development and Spanish, as well as a master’s degree in child development. Prior to joining UVA’s pediatric neurology team, I worked in pediatric neurology in Miami, FL at a major teaching hospital, as well as in a private practice. I’ve also worked in pediatric primary care. At UVA, I specialize in headache, syncope, traumatic brain injury and concussion, epilepsy and other neurological concerns.
I live in town with my husband, our son and our retired racing greyhound. We enjoy exploring the city’s parks and trails, being out on the rivers and camping. We also spend time in Scottsville with extended family and like to take trips all over the country to visit friends.
