Carrie Ferrel, MSN, NP, is a family nurse practitioner who provides primary care for patients of all ages. She has a special interest in integrative healthcare. Ferrel is a certified massage therapist. She attended massage therapy school after completing her bachelor’s degree at Virginia Tech. She worked in orthopedics and physical therapy clinics while attending nursing school at George Mason University in Fairfax. Ferrel then worked as an emergency room nurse for nine years before getting her master’s degree and family nurse practitioner certification at the University of Virginia.
Ferrel joined the UVA staff in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and three boys. She likes running, working out, golf, tennis, reading and cooking.
