Chad Wilson, MS, PA, MHS, is a certified physician assistant who cares for patients with complex orthopedic injuries and conditions, both in a surgical setting and in clinic. He is an experienced assistant in the operating room and also has been an active researcher, taking on the role of clinical advisor for multiple national orthopedic studies. He specializes in the conservative management of hip and knee arthritis and preparing patients for hip or knee replacement when appropriate.
Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, Wilson received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. He completed his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Lock Haven University in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Wilson was a faculty member and lecturer for the Virginia Orthopaedic Society annual meeting and a professor at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton before coming to UVA.
Outside of work, Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and volunteering to help out with the kids’ sports and recreational activities.
