Her research interests include bladder cancer survivorship and perioperative exercise, as well as racial disparities in prostate cancer treatment and clinical trial enrollment. She cares for patients at Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center, at the UVA Urology Clinic at the Fontaine Research Park, and at UVA Culpeper Medical Center.
Born and raised in Georgia, Dr. Ibilibor attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She then completed her urology residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, and a fellowship in urologic oncology at University of Texas at San Antonio.
Dr. Ibilibor says she has always had a passion for anatomy and physiology, and feels it is a privilege to be able to treat patients surgically. “Building a rapport with the patient based on mutual trust is important to me and the cornerstone of my approach to patient care,” she says.
