-
I received my bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and my medical degree from UNC School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC. I then attended the adult psychiatry residency program at the University of Connecticut.
I’m board certified in psychiatry. I spent the majority of my career in private practice in Birmingham, AL, before relocating to Charlottesville several years ago. In 2013, I joined UVA’s Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences.
I spend the majority of my clinical time as a psychiatric consultant to the Department of Family Medicine, where I provide evaluations, consultations and treatment recommendations. I also teach family medicine residents and consult family medicine faculty members. My focus area includes a variety of adult psychiatric disorders, including mood and anxiety disorders.
