James “Jim” Kearns IV was born and raised in New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University earning a double major in English and Comparative Literature. Later, he attended Saint Francis University where he obtained his Masters of Physician Assistant studies.
He began his career as a physician assistant working in Greenville, North Carolina working at the East Carolina Heart Institute in Cardiothoracic surgery. Several years later, he transitioned to Neurosurgery where he worked until deciding to travel. He took a two-year locum position in Rapid City, South Dakota until returning east and joining the Neuro-Oncology team in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Jim enjoys spending time with his son, traveling and outdoor activities.
