Jeanne Young, MD, FAAD, is medical director of the Department of Dermatology. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and provides the full breadth of general medical dermatology services. Her specific clinical interests include complex medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery and meeting the dermatologic needs of underserved populations, including the LGBT community.
Originally from Connecticut, Young received her Bachelor of Science from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. She then practiced as a physician assistant for several years before attending medical school at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the Dean’s Distinguished Student Award. Young completed her dermatology training at the University of Virginia where she served as chief resident.
