Jennifer A. Doorey, MD, is an OB-GYN who specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, particularly surgery for fibroids, adenomyosis and heavy menstrual bleeding. Doorey also helps patients with routine care, birth control and family planning, and what to expect during pregnancy.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Doorey attended Princeton University, where she received her undergraduate degree in economics. She earned a master’s degree in clinical and health services research at Dartmouth College before attending medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She started her residency training at the University of Hawaii and finished at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Doorey joined the UVA team in 2019.
In her free time, Doorey enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two dogs. Together, they love cooking, exploring the nearby mountains, taking hikes and swimming when the weather is warm.
