Kathleen Oleson, RN, MSN, is a certified nurse practitioner who cares for adult cancer patients at UVA Cancer Center Pantops. She specializes in blood and cancer-related diagnoses and cancer symptom management, and is dedicated to working with each patient to make sure they receive the physical, emotional and spiritual support they need.

Oleson spent her childhood in New York and New Jersey before moving to Virginia, where she received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She earned a nursing degree from UVA and worked as an infusion/oncology nurse for Virginia Cancer Institute and Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Richmond for close to 20 years.

Oleson earned a master’s degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. She graduated with a certification in Adult Gerontology Primary Care in 2019.

Married with two children, Oleson and her husband live in the Richmond area. In their free time, the couple enjoys cycling on the Virginia Capital Trail and supporting the VCU basketball team.
