Meghan Gaare, MD, MPH, is an assistant professor of psychiatry specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. Her clinical focus includes the treatment of eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and adjustment disorders.
Gaare was raised in Maryland and Virginia. After graduating from UVA Medical School, she completed her residency in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and obtained a master of public health degree from Harvard University School of Public Health. Upon completion of a fellowship in eating disorders through University of Maryland at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, Gaare returned to Charlottesville to complete a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Virginia in 2016 and stayed on as faculty in the department.
In her free time, Gaare enjoys spending time with family and playing tennis.
