Myla Goldman, MD, MSc, is an associate professor of neurology specializing in multiple sclerosis. She directs the multiple sclerosis clinic at UVA and serves as chief of the Division of Multiple Sclerosis — Neuro-immunology.
Dr. Goldman received her bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience from Lehigh University and her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She completed her neurology residency at UVA and a fellowship in clinical neuroimmunology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She joined UVA in 2006.
Dr. Goldman holds a master’s in clinical research from Case Western Reserve University and is the associate vice chair of clinical research in the Department of Neurology. Her research focuses on clinical outcome measures of MS and the impact of co-morbidities on MS; she also leads several clinical trials for emerging MS therapies. In addition to her clinical and research work, she directs the MS/Neuroimmunology Fellowship Training Program and serves as a mentor to trainees across the UVA grounds.
