Dr. Kwon joined UVA in 2015. He is an assistant professor of cardiology and his clinical work focuses on cardiac, neuro and general critical care; cardiology–echocardiography; and sleep-cardiovascular interaction.
A native of Korea, Dr. Kwon attended medical school at Kyungpook National University in Taegu, Korea, and earned a master’s in clinical research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, and fellowships in sleep medicine and cardiology at the University of Minnesota.
Outside of work, Dr. Kwon enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and playing violin and tennis.
