Bio & Overview

Samuel Cross, MD, is a general pediatrician who sees children for well visits, school and sports physicals, ADHD, and other general pediatric conditions. 

Dr. Cross was born and raised in Richmond. He attended University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree, medical school and residency. In between, he lived and worked in Siavonga, Zambia, where he managed a commercial fishing company. He started at UVA Augusta Pediatrics in 2020. 

He and his wife, Shelby, have four boys (Porter, Milo, Charlie, and Shepard). Most of his life outside of work involves spending time with his family.

He always takes the time to truly listen and never makes us feel rushed. His care, attention to detail, and thoughtful medical advice give us so much peace of mind as parents. We love Dr. Cross. He always takes his time and truly listens to our son and to us. He has made our son comfortable talking to doctors and nurses. Our son actually looks forward to seeing Dr. Cross and isn't as nervous about going to the doctor if he knows he gets to see him. My husband and I also appreciate Dr. Cross for his compassion, concern, and understanding. It's easy to see that he loves his job and we appreciate him!
