Bio & Overview

Samuel Cross, MD, is a general pediatrician who sees children for well visits, school and sports physicals, ADHD, and other general pediatric conditions. 

Dr. Cross was born and raised in Richmond. He attended University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree, medical school and residency. In between, he lived and worked in Siavonga, Zambia, where he managed a commercial fishing company. He started at UVA Augusta Pediatrics in 2020. 

He and his wife, Shelby, have four boys (Porter, Milo, Charlie, and Shepard). Most of his life outside of work involves spending time with his family.

We love Dr. Cross. He always takes his time and truly listens to our son and to us. He has made our son comfortable talking to doctors and nurses. Our son actually looks forward to seeing Dr. Cross and isn't as nervous about going to the doctor if he knows he gets to see him. My husband and I also appreciate Dr. Cross for his compassion, concern, and understanding. It's easy to see that he loves his job and we appreciate him!

We love Dr. Cross! He is always kind and patient with our questions or concerns, all while showing genuine care for our daughters. I happily recommend him to friends or family In need of an exceptional pediatrician. We are grateful to have him as our girls' PCP!

Dr. Cross was excellent. We came in for a sick visit and my daughter was nervous meeting a new doctor. Dr. Cross had excellent bedside manner and quickly won her over. He made me feel like a part of the medical decision-making process. This was our first time seeing him and I quickly saw that he is a well-rounded caring provider.
