Highlights
Meet Aeliya Kazmi, MD
My name is Aeliya Kazmi. I'm one of the primary care providers with the University of Virginia health system. I am an internal medicine and pediatrics trained physician. So I see all ranges of patients for their routine general checkups from newborns to you know, geriatric. One of my primary goals in being a doctor was to provide comprehensive care and I found that I had a special interest in transition from the pediatric population to the adult population, you know when my teenagers become adults and navigating that realm and that's really what prompted me to become an internal medicine doctor. To be able to provide sort of focused care to those patient populations. I'm very much passionate about preventative care. My goal in being a physician is to make sure my patients have the toolbox needed to prevent onset of disease more than just management of disease itself. My ultimate goal is to make my patients quality of life better and to keep them happy and healthy for as long as possible UVA Health is a very well renowned facility with specialists from across the state of Virginia and I think especially through our financial assistance programs we bring resources that would not be accessible to certain patient populations and I think this is a great way to get very comprehensive care from some of the most renowned names out in the industry.
