Bio & Overview
Andrea Kurland, MSN, RN, CPNP,is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who has been caring for children at Augusta Pediatrics since 2019. She is a strong proponent of family-centered care, building relationships with families over time and involving them in planning a child’s medical care.
Originally from Richmond, Kurland received her nursing degree from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program, where she graduated with a certificate in primary care pediatrics.
“I worked as a medical assistant and registered nurse in pediatrics for 6 years throughout nursing school and graduate school,” says Kurland. “The majority of my clinical training was in primary care pediatrics with some specialty rotations in pediatric neurology and early intervention/developmental pediatrics.”
Kurland is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs, and she is actively involved in animal rescue.
