Bio & Overview
Angelina Harman, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner at UVA Health Piedmont Family Medicine in Warrenton, where she has worked for the last 20 years. Angelina provides primary care for children and adults, with a focus on women’s healthcare and childhood obesity.
“I like to meet people where they are on their journey to being healthy and well, with a non-judgmental, listening ear,” she says. “I want my patients to be a part of their healthcare journey and help make decisions that positively impact their care.”
Angelina grew up on a farm in rural West Virginia with her grandparents and twin brother. She earned an undergraduate degree in nursing with honors from Shepherd University in West Virginia and masters and family nurse practitioner degrees with honors from George Mason University.
She spent several years working in internal medicine and allergy and immunology before joining Piedmont Family Practice in 2004. She then returned to George Mason to complete her doctorate of nursing practice degree with a focus on childhood obesity.
Angelina began teaching at George Mason in 2013 and is an associate professor in the School of Nursing.
She lives in Gainesville with her husband, two college-age sons, and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
