Ashley N Viars, AGACNP

Ashley Viars, MSN, RN, AG-ACNP, PCCN, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in general and interventional cardiology, including advanced valve and structural disease and electrophysiology.

She grew up in Virginia and completed her undergraduate nursing degree at James Madison University. She worked as an intermediate care nurse at the UVA Health cardiothoracic stepdown unit for 6 years. She completed the Master of Nursing Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the UVA School of Nursing and has worked at the UVA Heart & Vascular Institute ever since.

“I genuinely enjoy working with individuals to improve their health and wellbeing,” she says. “I strive to build trust, provide clear communication, and offer education to patients and families.”

Viars likes to spend her days off hiking, biking, running, and back packing. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and family.
