Bio & Overview
After completing his MD in Ukraine and his residency in Jordan, Dr. Mithqal came to UVA to complete fellowship training in body imaging, nuclear medicine, and neuroradiology. He is now an assistant professor in the body imaging section of our thoraco-abdominal division, specializing in MRI, CT and ultrasound imaging and image-guided procedures of the abdomen and pelvis.
Dr. Mithqal is a member of the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). He has been recognized for outstanding teaching as a fellow at UVA and received the Charles J. Tegtmeyer, MD, Memorial Clinical Service Award during his first year as an assistant professor. Dr. Mithqal has contributed to various industry publications, such as the Journal of the American College of Radiology and Clinical Nuclear Medicine.
