Bio & Overview
Barbara Post, MD, FACP, is a primary care physician and the medical director of Northridge Internal Medicine. A native of Illinois, she was born in Chicago and received her bachelor’s in biology from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and her medical degree from the University of Illinois. She came to UVA for a residency in internal medicine, and returned to join the faculty in 1989, after several years as a clinical instructor at the University of Illinois. Dr. Post is the mother of three grown children, and her husband, John, is also a physician.
