Bruce Williams, PharmD, PA-C, is a psychiatric physician assistant (PA) who cares for people at Primary Care Culpeper.
“I emphasize active listening when I’m with patients, as well as optimizing psychiatric medication to minimize side effects and adverse interactions with other medications and medical conditions,” he says.
Bruce is from a small town near Knoxville, Tennessee. After earning an undergraduate degree in biology and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from East Tennessee State University, he completed a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies at Radford University Carilion.
He is licensed as both a pharmacist and a physician assistant. He also holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Psychiatry (CAQ-Psych) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
He was motivated to become a psychiatric physician assistant because of his interest in people and their stories, a desire to help, and a fascination with biology and biochemistry.
In his spare time, Bruce enjoys music, travel, the outdoors, and spending time with loved ones.
