Bio & Overview
Cassandra “Cassie” Turner, AuD, CCC-A, is a clinical audiologist whose areas of expertise include auditory evoked potentials, diagnostic testing, hearing aids, and assistive listening devices for children and adults.
She has a particular interest in supporting language accessibility for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Dr. Turner grew up in Richmond and received her undergraduate degree from UVA. She completed a doctorate in clinical audiology at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., and fellowship training at UVA Health.
She holds a certificate in Collaboration and Leadership Interdisciplinary from the Infants, Toddlers, and Families Program at Gallaudet. She was previously the audiology service lead at UVA’s Sheila C. Johnson Center for Clinical Services, and she taught courses in audiology and aural rehabilitation for the UVA School of Education’s Speech Communications Disorders program.
In her free time, Dr. Turner enjoys reading, hiking, and crocheting.
