Highlights
Meet Christy Maxwell, FNP
My name is Christy Maxwell. I am a family nurse practitioner at UVA Health Family Medicine of Gainesville. I provide preventative care services, as well as chronic disease management and acute care visits. I chose primary care because it allows me to develop a relationship with the patient, and I feel like that relationship fosters trust, which helps provide better outcomes in healthcare. A patient always leaves a visit with me feeling as though I listened to them and heard what they were telling me when they were voicing their concerns. I believe a person should choose UVA Health for their healthcare, as we have several primary care offices that offer preventative care, as well as management of chronic conditions and acute care, and we have the availability to access many different specialties, whether it's in northern Virginia or in Charlottesville.
