Highlights
Meet Dana Clark Rice, MD
Hi, I'm Dr. Dana Rice. I am a medical doctor at UVA Health and I specialize in Urology. I see everybody but pediatric patients. I sort of concentrate on general urology stones and erectile dysfunction, bladder cancers, kidney cancers, prostate cancers, but I'm able to do everything. I was always drawn to medicine. I was the kid that used to help everyone with a cut, with a bruise. I w as fascinated by science all along. I think for me, there's not one size fits all in surgery, right? If you're afraid of surgery or you don't want to have textbook guidelines surgery, I would rather work with you and explain to you what I think is great, and what you can handle and we can come up with a middle ground. I think that patient education and talking to patients like they're humans and not quoting textbooks is my passion. We need to make sure every patient understands what kind of care and why. Patients should know that they can get excellent care here in their backyard. You can get a CT scan within a few weeks or days even. You've got good people who are friendly and want to help you get the best care you can get.
