Bio & Overview

After completing both his internal medicine internship and his diagnostic radiology residency here at UVA, Dr. Lambert joined our Body Imaging Division where he is now an associate professor of radiology. He also currently serves as the director of Gastrointestinal Radiology and Fluoroscopy and a member of the Medical School Gastrointestinal System Education Committee. His current projects include balloon dilation of the gastrointestinal tract, improved outcomes in percutaneous abscess drain placements, renal tumor ablation and enteral feeding tube placement.

Dr. Lambert has a unique role in the UVA School of Medicine. While he interprets all exams in body imaging, his areas of special expertise are image-guided minimally invasive procedures and luminal GI tract imaging. As such, he serves as a primary diagnostic radiology consultant for the GI luminal gastroenterologists and surgeons at UVA.
