Elaine E Hannah, AG-ACNP

Elaine Hannah, RN, MSN, AG-ACNP, is a certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner who cares for patients admitted to University Hospital for acute and chronic illness, trauma and surgery.

Originally from New York City, Hannah received her bachelor’s degree in English from the City University of New York. She then pursued advanced nursing degrees at UVA, where she obtained both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, making her a double ‘Hoo. Hannah went on to complete her nurse practitioner training at UVA as well, with clinical work in cardiovascular endocrinology, outpatient neurosurgery and intensive care.

In her free time, Hannah is an advocate for her teenage daughter who has type 1 diabetes, and she enjoys trail riding on her horse and gardening.
