Bio & Overview
Eric Magrum, PT, is a physical therapist who specializes in sports medicine and orthopedics. His main role is to guide patients so they can return to sports or to their prior activity level after an injury.
Eric grew up in the Fairfax area of Northern Virginia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. He then went to Virginia Commonwealth University for his doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Before joining UVA Health in 2000, he completed a Physical Therapy Orthopeadic Residency Program, and a Manual Therapy Fellowship program.
At UVA Health, he helped start the first Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Program to train specialized physical therapists.
