Highlights
Meet Gregg Eure, MD
Hi, I'm Gregg Eure. I'm a urologist with UVA Health. I practice general urology with a focus on men's health and specifically BPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia, which means enlarged prostate. So I chose urology, really, it was serendipitous. I was headed down the path of cardiac surgery or plastic surgery, and as part of the rotation in training, I got exposure to urology and just really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the culture, the physicians I worked with, and really the challenge that it brought, using your brain to diagnose a problem, then using your hands to fix that problem to create a happy patient. So what can a new patient expect when they come to see me? We really try to deliver a good patient experience. I think oftentimes it's an awkward situation that the patient comes in with different symptoms than they've ever had before. So we really try to help the patient understand what's happening to them, what the options are to fix it, and then really a shared decision to help them solve that problem.
