Bio & Overview
Ian Duensing, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with special expertise in hip and knee joint replacement. He is passionate about providing excellent patient care, educating orthopedic specialists in training, and conducting research to improve patient care.
He completed his fellowship training in hip and knee arthroplasty (joint replacement) at Duke University. He completed his orthopedic residency training at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Duensing started his education at Texas A&M University. After graduating magna cum laude, he continued his medical education at Texas A&M University Health Science Center and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. During medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated with honors.
Dr. Duensing is excited to be in Charlottesville with his wife, Lindsay, who has been by his side since college. They have two boys, Nate and Jack. Recreationally, they enjoy all things outdoors including hiking, fly fishing, and cycling.
