Jeanetta Frye, MD, treats patients with general gastroenterology conditions and concerns. She is an assistant professor of gastroenterology and hepatology and is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Frye earned her undergraduate degree from Emory and Henry College before attending medical school and completing her residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Frye completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Virginia, then joined the faculty of that division in 2013. 

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Frye is involved in residency education and serves on CORE, the Committee on Residency Education at UVA.

Jeanetta Frye is truly one of a kind. She combines incredible medical thoroughness with a level of kindness, that is rare to find. She is an amazing listener who never makes you feel rushed; in fact, leaving her office feels like you've just sat down with a trusted friend!

I love Dr. Frye! She is an expert clinician who diagnosed and solved a multi-year problem after other doctors had not! She listens carefully, gives solid advice, and is a genuinely nice person. I feel so fortunate to have her as my physician.

Dr Frye is excellent. She LISTENS to you and THEN talks WITH you. As a nurse for 40 years. I can tell you that alot of "younger" physicians do not take the time. I'm an old nurse and I love how she cares for me.
