Jeanne Kamal, MD, is an associate professor of medicine and a transplant nephrologist specializing in the care of adult kidney transplant recipients.

She completed her transplant nephrology fellowship in 2019 and has since developed a clinical and academic focus on the evaluation and management of recurrent glomerulonephritis after kidney transplant. Dr. Kamal serves as the program director for the Transplant Nephrology Fellowship, where she leads curriculum development, trainee mentorship, and program innovation to advance excellence in transplant education.

UVA has been great through my Kidney transplant journey. My only downside is the travel time 3 hours each way. But worth it. To me and my wife. The Nurse coordinators are great for lodging arrangements and any other problems that arise. Medical or Personal.
