Bio & Overview
Jenea Brown, FNP-C, APRN, MS, is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients in the head and neck cancer and melanoma clinics.
“I enjoy forming relationships with patients and their families,” she says. “It’s important to me that they feel comfortable working with me. No one asks for a cancer diagnosis, but I like to give patients the best experience they can have while going through treatment and support them in any way I am able to.”
Jenea grew up in Bellevue, Ohio, near Lake Erie, where both of her parents worked in healthcare. She attended the University of Akron, where she earned her undergraduate degree in nursing. For 6 years, she was an RN on a head and neck and neurosurgery progressive care inpatient unit at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital. Jenea earned a master of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, degree while at Ohio State.
She became a nurse because she loves spending time with patients and helping them during some of the most difficult times of their lives. She chose to be a nurse practitioner so she could work in an outpatient setting while caring for patients from diagnosis through treatment.
In her spare time, Jenea enjoys spending time outdoors, crafting, baking, and spending time with her husband and cat.
