Bio & Overview

Jennifer Herdman, FNP, MSN, RN, is a nurse practitioner board-certified in family medicine. She received her master’s degree from University of Virginia in 2013. She has a special interest in preventive health, diabetes and women’s health.

Herdman became interested in family medicine because she enjoys caring for and forming relationships with patients of all ages. Her goal is to partner with her patients to help them take responsibility for their own health and wellness to bring about positive outcomes.

Herdman also volunteers as a member of the Powell Wellness Medical Advisory Committee. She lives in Culpeper with her two children and enjoys exercising, travel, gardening and spending time with family.

Jennifer Herdman can't be beat. She is very professional and if she doesn't know the answer to problems you are experiencing she definitely will find out and communicate with you. She has helped me through my illness and so caring about doing it. When I message her she always gets back to me.

Jennifer Herdman is the GREATEST!!! I truly feel she is "all present" when she's with me. She really listens and responds with several options and honest answers.

In the past 15 yrs I have been complaining about lower back and hip pain, Ms Herdman was the only medical professional that proposed an MRI to find the cause. She seemed more concerned than the orthopedic professional who seemed to think that my aches and pain was due to my age!!!
