Originally from Portland, Oregon, Dr. Hotchkiss attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia, which is now Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his family medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Before joining UVA Health in 2024, Dr. Hotchkiss worked as a family physician in the Shenandoah Valley.
