Jessica Scriver Sheeran, MD

A Virginia native and “Triple Hoo,” Jessica Sheeran, MD, grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, she remained at UVA for medical school, residency training, and fellowship training in obstetric anesthesiology. Sheeran joined the faculty at UVA in 2016.

Her clinical expertise includes obstetric anesthesia and general anesthesia.

In addition to her clinical practice, Sheeran is very involved in medical student education. She is director for the UVA School of Medicine Transitions course and is on the UVA School of Medicine Admissions Committee. Sheeran also participates in the 3rd Year Anesthesiology Clerkship and simulation center.

In her free time, Sheeran enjoys spending time with her four young children and her husband, an interventional radiologist at UVA. They can typically be found enjoying time outdoors, hiking, fishing, sailing and more.
