Highlights
Meet Primary Care Physician Kara Siford, MD
Hi, I’m Dr. Kara Siford with UVA Health Family Practice. So I've always had an interest in becoming a doctor. I was the kid in elementary school who answered a doctor to what do you want to be when you grow up, but I love it for the element of the science behind the medicine, as well as that art of taking care of human beings. I chose family practice as a specialty of care because I really enjoy being able to take care of patients long-term. I love developing a relationship with patients, earning their trust, having that rapport, and being able to see patients from newborn to end-of-life care. Professionally, I'm very passionate about preventative care.I love to see patients make positive changes for themselves with exercise and nutrition and be able to be proud of themselves in that. It is a very rewarding part of my career to be part of that journey with them. A patient should consider choosing UVA Health because of the community element that we are very passionate about. I was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia and am honored to be back practicing in my hometown, seeing some familiar faces and new faces, but we are very passionate about taking care of our community.
